TIRAMISU

 

 

In the past, only the classical Spamann recipe for Tiramisu was posted on this site. Then, however, I came across a Tiramisu that tasted even better, made by Emanuela from the land of Tiramisu itself, Italy. So now here are both the Emanuela and the Spamann recipes.

When I tried to make Emanuela's version for the first time, I did not quite succeed (it was ok but not better than the Spamann version). Perhaps something that Emanuela did not mention, it being automatic for her, is that in order to succeed with this recipe, you need to be a gorgeous Southern European female with enough passion and warmth to make every Northern European man completely helpless in front of you.* If you don't qualify, perhaps try the Spamann recipe first.

 

* I have not quite figured out yet how these qualities are transformed into Tiramisu quality. Since Emanuela's endowment with these qualities does not seem to diminish no matter how many Tiramisu she makes, they must be fulfilling something like a catalysing function here. (This is reassuring in as far as one does not need to prohibit Emanuela and other qualifying females from making Tiramisu, but unfortunately it also means that the reverse process [eat a lot of great Tiramisu and mutate into an Emanuela-like being] is not possible.) Any further leads are appreciated.
